It’s all too much. Where do I start?

I’ve found a cheaper Web developer. Can you match their price?

No. My ability to build well ranking Web sites, design quality and price is exceptional value for money. Cheaper offers are likely template based designs, with all the limitations such packages offer by the nature of how they work.

Why are you so cheap?

I know my special offer is very cheap, but the real question is: Why are others so expensive? I have seen people charge £125 for a single simple Web page, which is quite frankly robbery! I am trying to establish myself as leading Web developer in Reading, and that is why I decided to offer very competitive rates. My goal is to create long standing relationships with clients, rather than overcharge them for one-off projects.

Do you use template designs?

No. In order to get the maximum out of a Web site in terms of attracting visitors (via search engines, or pay-per-click advertising for example) and then retaining and converting those visitors into business profit, any Web site needs to be far more tailored than template design packages allow.

Where are you based?

I am based in Reading, Berkshire, UK.

Why do you require a partial payment up-front?

Experience has taught me that a client who has invested in a project will have more interest in that project’s development – which is ultimately good for your business.

What about updates/maintenance?

I charge for future updates by the hour at a rate of £20/hour. The minimum amount of time I charge for is 1 hour, so it tends to work best, to accumulate the changes you want made. Once you have a list of changes ready, you simply e-mail it to me, I then provide you with an estimate for the cost/time, and if that is agreeable to you I proceed with the updates.

I already have a Web site, should I change it or get a new one?

The more good, up-to-date Web sites you have the better it can be for you. But be careful not to make some common mistakes, like having duplicate content or confusing the visitor as to which site is the correct one (if they find both). At this point the best thing is to contact me and I will look at your current site and give you an idea what your next best move should be. It very much depends on your current site.

I don’t have a Web address yet, what should I do?

You will need a Web address for your new site. I can help you configure it once you have it. But be careful, the temptation when looking for new Web addresses is to buy on impulse. I have very methodical ways I use to find great Web addresses, which serve the visitors and the search engines alike. I would recommend to look for a new Web name at www.moniker.com (I use them for my own sites) and get in touch with me before you finalise your purchase.
